Winding Down to the New Year

Well, Christmas has come and gone. The weather here has been rainy and 40 degrees outside, so it wasn't Christmas-y outside either. The meager decorations are once again safely packed away in their boxes awaiting next year. SO-O-O LOOKING FORWARD to next year.
Kay and I made beaded bracelets and necklaces for our friends. She and Star and I did manage to have a nice quiet Christmas here at home. Leftover turkey with all the trimmings. And home baked cookies. We even got Border's Gift Cards so we can catch up on some of the things we have had to put off.
Not sure what's going on for New Year's. No plans as of yet. Don't really want to be driving anywhere either. We will probably once again stay home and have a quiet celebration here. Maybe we'll raise a glass of Sparkling Grape Juice and toast our absent family members. Better yet, we will call them and wish them a Happy New Year as well.
